We are looking for an experienced business development professional to lead our business development efforts in the Luxembourg & Belgium Markets.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate across all areas of Sustainalytics and to work with the Client Relations team globally to grow our market presence.

Your clear understanding of the responsible investment space, Sustainalytics’ clients and prospects and their business drivers will be the key to success.

This role has a strong emphasis on relationship development with clients and prospects and you will be an ambassador for Sustainalytics from early on.

Please note this is a remote work location.

Job Responsibilities

  • Play a leading role in developing and implementing Sustainalytics business development strategy for Luxembourg & Belgium Markets;
  • Grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline by :
  • o Identify and actively pursue new commercial opportunities (outbound)

    o Take ownership of and successfully closing inbound commercial opportunities

    o Act as the lead in the coordination and response for proposals (RFPs) for the region

  • Act as a trusted advisor to institutional & retail investors, banks and insurers on how to apply Responsible Investment strategies and incorporate our products and services;
  • Stay on top of market developments, identify and share product innovation opportunities;
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences as well as public speaking engagements;
  • Build, maintain and extend professional networks;
  • Further develop ESG and investment industry knowledge.
  • We work on a daily basis with colleagues in our other European offices as well as in the US and Canada, so the desire to work very closely with a diverse team from many different cultures is critical to working at Sustainalytics.
  • Qualifications

    The ideal candidate needs to be an ambitious team player who can both succeed individually, as well as reaching goals through close collaboration with other team members.

    The ideal candidate will have :

  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability and an alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values
  • English and French fluency (essential), fluency in Dutch is desirable;
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of responsible investment, ESG, or financial services work experience;
  • Degree in related discipline (business, finance, environment and / or social sciences);
  • Strong client servicing, consultative sales and overall strong commercial skills;
  • A self-starter, willing to take initiative and think creatively to contribute to team’s success
