Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) is focusing on for the employee benefits business of the Generali Group. The GEB Network, composed of more than 140 local insurance companies, is one of the leading partners in the international employee benefits management field, servicing more than 1,500 international corporate customers.

The Controller, reporting to the Head of Planning and Control, will be involved in the preparation of the business strategic plan to be presented to the relevant stakeholders, monitoring the performance of the GEB local insurer profitability and business solutions in order to develop early warnings that might influence the performance of the business.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Preparation and analysis of the strategic plan to be presented to GEB Top Management, and submit it to Generali Group within the agreed timeframe
  • Preparation of the Business Strategic Reviews (BSRs) and Clearance documents
  • Monitoring the performance of the GEB local insurer profitability on a monthly / quarterly basis
  • Preparation of Financial Reporting on a quarterly basis (GEB Profit and Loss)
  • Identifying and implementing budget parameters, assumptions and financial / business goals
  • Support in maintaining and improving the GEB Tagetik Corporate Performance Management (CPM)
  • Manage and monitor of the GEB business through Generali Group Consolidation system (Tagetik IFRS stream) for the actual, forecast and planning processes
  • Monitor the actual KPIs in comparison with Plan and Budget and assessment of GEB target achievements
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis and preparation of supporting material for the Top Management
  • Remaining up to date on corporate policy, audit best practices and state law regarding Generali Group insurance operations
  • T he ideal candidate meets the following requirements :

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role (Finance / Controlling)
  • Understanding of the different views (local, Group) to be presented / commented both locally and at Group level
  • Knowledge of insurance / reinsurance industry is a plus and Employee Benefits a serious advantage
  • Previous experience with CCH Tagetik is a requirement; knowledge / previous exposure to SAP is a plus
  • Acquaintance of IFRS17 is a serious advantage
  • Advanced command of Excel
  • Dynamic, proactive and not afraid to take ownership
  • Strong team player able to cope with tight deadlines
  • Fluent in English, any other language would be considered an asset
