LEGAL COUNSEL EUROPE (M / F)
THE ROLE :
DO recruitment Advisors is delighted to represent one of their clients, a financial technology and services provider for banks and financial services in his search of a Legal Counsel to reinforce its European legal team.
The responsibilities :
To draft and to negotiate a variety of cloud services agreements (SaaS), software license agreements, professional services agreements and other customer-facing contracts relating to the company's suite of products.
To advise operational and sales teams regarding all issues arising in the contract negotiation process, including most notably data security issues and risk management.
To provide other legal support as needed, including supporting human resources, marketing and IT.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :
Master's Degree in Law.
Minimum 3 years of transactional experience as lawyer working at a technology company ( , software, cloud services provider, SaaS provider) or in the technology transactions practice of a law firm.
Fluency in English; any further language a plus ( German, French, Italian).
Exposure to the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) with a desire to further develop a focus on them and similar areas of regulation affecting financial institutions globally, such as the EBA guidelines on outsourcing.
Experience working on revenue-generating cloud services, software, and / or other technology contracts and overseeing deals from inception to close while managing risk and aiding the sales team in moving deals.
Strong contract drafting skills.
Insatiable curiosity for learning the details of the business and the product offerings.
Commitment to finding pragmatic solutions in closing deals while respecting red lines set by the organization.
Outstanding cross-functional collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills.
Adept at quickly building rapport and becoming a trusted adviser with numerous internal stakeholders.
Experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment for a multi-national company or multi-national clients would be a plus.
Ability to travel if requested (post-COVID).
Excellent command of MS Office suite.
