Job based in LuxembourgAmazon is seeking for an innovative Design Program Manager to support the programming and coordination of sustainable and efficient building designs for logistics building programs.
The ideal candidate is preferably industry experienced who succeeds in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and has a strong multi-disciplinary management skills for supporting internal and outsourced teams, while has deep passion for developing innovative building designs.
Outstanding project management, time management and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. The successful candidate will be supporting the cross functional team responsible for setting Amazon’s design criteria and building design templates that govern the design of these technologically advanced facilities.
Responsibility includes : architectural, structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, low voltage, signage, and incorporation of storage and material handling designs by other internal teams.

The role will be based in Luxembourg and will include occasional travel.
Support a multi-disciplinary team that is creating sustainable, efficient, economical, and standardized logistics building designs across geographies where Amazon operates.
Coordinate and collaborate with a wide variety of internal operations, design, and engineering stakeholders to increase the efficiency and efficacy of the building design program.
Demonstrate performance that serves as a model of excellence establishing business requirements, design team collaboration, and stakeholder alignment.
Present and facilitate strategic design discussions to top-level executives.
Direct third-party architects, engineers and designers responsible for creating the building design templates ( prototypes) for logistics buildings.
Support workshops that drive alignment on key issues for new building designs and initiatives to drive the associate experience, operational efficiency, and reduction of first and lifecycle costs.
Support technical design reviews. Provide project support to internal teams on new logistics network buildings.
Provide project support for operations network buildings including fulfillment, sortation, and / or last mile facilities.
Drive compliance of Amazon's worldwide design standards.
Drive regional adaption and compliance of worldwide standards with regional design managers
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes while reducing the jurisdictional impact on Amazon’s operation.
Develop strategic building solutions which meet or exceed our quality requirements and drive value engineering and standardization across all aspects of the facility.
Your Profile# Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, or a related field
Experience in architecture and program management
Project management experience from design phase through implementation and operation
Ability to lead and manage a team, including, coaching and disciplinary actions, as needed
Demonstrated expertise in software programs for Revit, Bluebeam, BIM360, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Knowledge of primary building systems on industrial projects foundations, primary building structure and walls, mechanical, electrical and plumbing, fire protection, specialty systems, conveying systems and interior finishes, along with the sequence of assembly for each.

Building design & construction project management experience from programming, design, construction, and operations including project planning for scope, schedule, and costs
Strong competency with time management, organization, and attention to detail
Recent and documented professional continuing education
Proven experience implementing and managing a building design program including development of templates (aka prototypes), technical specifications, and design standards
