The National Centre of Excellence in Research on Parkinson’s Disease (NCER-PD), coordinated by the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) at the University of Luxembourg, is a highly successful flagship programme funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) and executed by the leading biomedical research institutions and hospitals in Luxembourg in collaboration with national and international partners and initiatives in the field of neurodegenerative diseases.
Launched in 2015, the programme swiftly gained international visibility and impact and commences now into its second funding phase.
NCER-PD is an interdisciplinary effort, combining clinical, experimental and computational research to develop the foundation for future predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine in Parkinson’s disease.
