Job summary

As the EMEA Greenfield Business Development Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape the future of our engagement with organizations across EMEA who have not yet adopted the AWS platform.

You will lead the development of go-to-market strategies and campaigns focused on helping greenfield customers understand and adopt advanced cloud technologies.

Your responsibilities will include developing market penetration strategies in commercial accounts across your assigned territories.

You will collaborate with AWS marketing, partner, inside sales, demand generation and other internal organizations to provide a seamless experience for our customers, engaging leaders across EMEA area to develop and implement plans to help customers adopt AWS at scale.

The successful candidate will possess a technology sales background that enables them to drive specific engagement and interaction with customers at the executive level.

They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and methodically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to understand and convey compelling value propositions.

Working cross-organizationally the ideal candidate should also be a self-starter who is prepared to define, develop, and execute on a business strategy that enables their territory to consistently deliver on quarterly and annual targets.

This role can be based in London, Munich, Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid, Milan, or Stockholm.

Roles and Responsibilities in assigned territories :

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive Go-to-Market Strategy

2. Accelerate customer adoption

3. Maintain a robust sales pipeline

4. Build and execute on partner strategies to extend reach & drive adoption

5. Drive customer and revenue growth, meeting (or exceeding) quarterly and annual targets

6. Build a cohesive prospecting strategy that aligns Sales, Marketing, Demand Generation teams; negotiate and collaborate with cross-functional organizations

7. Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts; in individual capacity to nurture customer relationships

8. Develop and maintain pan-EMEA stakeholder relationships to ensure an understanding of area-specific needs and commonalities across EMEA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

2. Substantial technology related sales or business development experience

3. Proven track record of success driving customer acquisition and adoption of disruptive technologies

4. Demonstrated history of meeting, and exceeding, quarterly and annual goals and building strong pipelines

5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

6. Comfortable with developing, implementing, managing and executing through influence across a cross-functional set of senior stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Masters / MBA degree in a relevant field

2. Experience of defining go-to-market programs targeted to enterprise customers, with focus on developing, executing and scaling field programs

3. Direct field experience working with Enterprise companies

4. Extensive customer network

5. Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus

  • Experience in and executing campaigns for defined market segments with a strong pipeline creation track record
  • Experience of working backwards from needs and creating campaigns that address these needs
