The successful candidate is expected to assume a leading role in defining, acquiring, managing, and scientifically contributing to projects in the areas covered by the SerVal group, and more specifically software engineering of data-
intensive systems. Data-intensive systems include any system that collects continuously data from diverse sources for advanced analysis (recommendation, decision-
making, simulation, prediction) : IoT, Industry 4.0, Fintech analytics, smart grid and smart systems. Currently these research collaborations involve companies such as CREOS (smart grid), Cebi (Industry 4.
0), Paul Wurth (smart building), BGL-BNP Paribas (Fintech). The missions are to :
The candidate will work closely with Prof. Yves Le Traon and the team members of the Security, reasoning and Validation (SerVal) group.
He will support the activities of the group, including research dissemination and if needed teaching. English is the working language of this international laboratory.
The lab is engaged in a number of European projects and conducting research in close collaboration with the industry partners.

PhD in Computer Science with at least 3 years of experience after the thesis.
Familiar with at least one area mentioned : IoT, Industry 4.0, Fintech analytics, smart grid and data-intensive systems in general.
Knowledgeable on data analytics, multi-criteria decision making / recommendation systems. Being familiar with model-driven engineering or networking (interoperability, etc.
and related technologies is a plus as well as the use of machine learning or multi-criteria / search-based approaches. Being knowledgeable in software testing and other key topics of the group, is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent publication record in top-tier conferences and journals.
An experience in or with industry is required.
Track record in carrying a leading role in research project acquisition and / or entrepreneurship experience
Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.
