In recent days at their Rome European headquarters, we met with a prestigious PE firm who advises multiple funds and who are in the process of establishing their Luxembourg AIFM.
A full submission has been made to the regulator and we are anticipating a live date of Q1 2020. With ambitious plans for a near-
term launching of a series of new products / funds, the Luxembourg AIFM will become a centre of excellence for the firm and will be their strategic platform for continued European growth.
We have been mandated to initially secure the local senior management team with clear plans already in place for further phases of growth.
The Conducting Officer team will play an integral role in both the structuring of the respective control functions and undertake a critical strategic role in the implementation of all policies and procedures effective under the scope of the Luxembourg AIFM.

up and implementation of, evaluation and where required amendment of the risk management procedures and systems in order to allow the AIFM to identify, measure, manage and monitor on an on-
going basis all risks to which the funds may be exposed. Assist in the continuing development of the AIFM’s risk management framework and in the maintaining of the AIFM’s risk management policies and procedures for all relevant AIFs in accordance with AIFMD Define risk levels and risk methods and be responsible for the structuring of the risk management process and the liquidity management process Analyse existing and new AIF products from a risk management point of view and suggest risk management techniques Interact with delegated investment managers concerning risk profiles, risk appetite and risk levels Be responsible for the risk reporting to the senior management, the board of directors and CSSF Participate quarterly (and ad-
hoc) valuation and risks committee meetings Be responsible for and supervise the AIFs finance monitoring (NAV & fund accounting control) To ensure that communication regarding valuation, risk and compliance matters -
you will in all likelihood be in a similar role either directly within another AIFM or third party ManCo. Ideally you will have gained broad knowledge within the wider European fund regulatory environment.
The candidate will ideally have experience with both open and closed ended Funds and ideally with experience in renewable energy infrastructure and structured credit strategies A high-
confidence and the capacity to hold a position / push-upwards where required Highly organized and self-motivated with strong presentation skills experience with presenting at board level or similar Strong analytical skills, with a general understanding of financials related to different AIFs structures (open / closed ended funds) with the ability to multitask and manage a varied workload Understanding of the key risks related to AIFs, and an ability to make sound risk-
