ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The position is responsible for performing project & service control and support activities for SES Techcom by performing pre-sales and post sales controlling activities including active involvement on preparing and supporting negotiation stages with customers and vendors.
The incumbent will work closely with Project Managers and / or Customer Service Managers to monitor and report project & service performance, identify improvement areas, optimise processes and act as financial advisor to the PM / CSM role.
The incumbent will also support the Finance team with in-depth knowledge and contribute to the required level of transparency at company level on progress and performance of the individual projects and services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Pre-Sales : cooperate with Project Managers and project teams as well as Customer Service Managers and Operation teams by taking over specific tasks related to validation of costing / pricing, procurement coordination & negotiation plan, organization of financial project plans.
Post-Sales : Actively provide operational support with contract amendments, calculation & invoicing of variable elements;
prepare small value quotes and participate to negotiations with customers and vendors. Follow up on customer invoicing and vendor payments on project level
Be the point of contact and subject matter expert for project specific budgeting, reporting and submission of costs & prices for public tenders, customer audits and / or ESA & EU contracts
Project financial reporting : maintain a detailed understanding of project to date performance and margins, as well as providing guidance on required cost accruals to Finance colleagues
Project & service controlling activities : monthly collection and review of project & service financials, investigation of irregularities, identify and propose improvements, continue development of project focused forecasting processes and monitoring tools
Maintain close collaboration with the Finance, Legal and Vendor management teams to perform the above-mentioned tasks
Be an active driver of process improvements and drive introduction and utilisation of new tools to optimise project and operational flows

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Control or FP&A functions
Expert user of MS Excel and Power BI (or similar)
Experienced in the daily usage of an ERP (e.g. SAP) and MS Project
Fluency in English, any other language will be considered as an asset
EU nationality preferred
