The Institute in Luxembourg carries out collaborative research in the fields of international Procedural Law.
The Institute is currently recruiting an : IT System Administrator (m / f) · Permanent position · full time, 40 hrs / week Mission : The IT System Administrator is required to work as part of the team providing core IT services to our researchers and staff members.
You will be working on Microsoft Windows and Linux environment as well VMware.
The management of the network will also be part of your responsibilities.
Main duties : Manage Windows Server (from 2008 to 2016) and Linux (mainly CentOS) running on VMware infrastructure.
Manage Security tools such as an UTM, NAC.
Automate daily tasks processes by scripting.
Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and a range of software applications as well as IT and communication equipment.
Assist in maintaining and updating documentation (IT policies, procedures and configuration).
Improve our software deployment systems.
Manage, maintain and update our print server, printers, VOIP phones / PBX.
Create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist all colleagues in the quick resolution of their incidents and IT requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient.
Install and configure operating systems and applications.
Guarantee smooth operations of our academic events from a technical aspect (sometimes even out of usual working hours).
Profile : Ability to handle Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge on VMware VSphere is mandatory.
Basic knowledge on networking is mandatory.
Knowledge on Extreme Networks / Enterasys preferably.
Knowledge on SAN Storage.
Knowledge on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
Knowledge on Load Balancers will be considered an added value.
Basic scripting abilities (PowerShell, batch).
Any other language will be an advantage.
Ability to handle Apple Mac OS X systems.
Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels within and outside of the organization High level of personal integrity as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
Be a highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
Fluent in English (French and / or German would be considered an advantage).
