We are looking for a highly qualified Treasury Manager to support the ongoing growth of the EMEA Treasury function and regional Payments strategy at Airbnb.
The primary focus will be on our Payments Luxembourg entity, supporting the evolution of our business model and interactions with the CSSF, as well as being an integral part of the Global Treasury function.
The ideal candidate will have payments entity, and solid corporate treasury, experience and enjoys working in a challenging, fast paced and high-growth environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage EMEA banking operations, primarily for the Payments Luxembourg entity
Ensure cash management is performed in accordance with the rules and regulations of each country, working closely with the Payments Luxembourg management team to ensure ongoing evolution is in line with regulatory change
Act as a local lead for Payments Luxembourg on Treasury related projects; work closely with internal groups including Accounting, Tax, Legal, and Payments
Act as the Treasury point of contact for the CSSF, specifically in relation to Safeguarding and Liquidity, Market and Credit risk
Assist with global cash forecasting and management of EMEA intercompany relationships and settlements
Lead the development of efficient cash, counterparty and bank account structures for Payments Luxembourg
Partner with internal teams such as Cash Operations, Legal Compliance and Payments Engineering teams to support the growth of our Payments ecosystem
Handle ad-hoc Treasury projects and presentations for Treasury
Implement remedial changes to tighten and enhance controls and mitigate risk; refine and document Treasury processes and procedures
Requirements & Qualifications
8+ years experience in global corporate treasury essential, strongly preferred European based experience.
Working knowledge of payments marketplace ideal.
Working knowledge of EMEA regulatory environment, with CSSF knowledge preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Experience in a high-growth start-up or large or multinational environment
In depth understanding of merchant payment processors is preferred
Treasury Management System (TMS) experience
Working fluency in French or Luxembourgish is preferred.
Strong communication skills, ability to multitask and high attention to detail
A strong understanding of financial and operational controls
Team Player, high level of dependability and strong work ethic
Enthusiastic, self-starter with the ability to work independently
CTP a plus
Passion for Airbnb and knowledge of the industry
