Job purpose

You are responsible for the administration, consistency and improvement of the company’s Financial systems. Financial systems include consolidation, planning / budgeting and reporting, including its interfaces with accounting (ERP) systems.

You will also be instrumental in developing the company’s finance systems roadmap and execution aligned with the Finance strategy.

The position is also responsible for managing day to day operations of said systems. This includes supporting the finance department areas pertaining to business requirements related with the financial system (user administration, end of month process, etc.

Financial Systems team works closely with the following teams :

  • Controlling and External reporting
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Treasury
  • Regional and global Finance teams
  • Local Operations (Africa and Latin America)
  • In cooperation with other teams & resources :

  • IT infrastructure and Service Desk
  • EPM Consultants,
  • Other IT teams like ESM / ERP, Analytics / DWH, etc.
  • Key responsibilities for Financial Systems Manager :

    General

  • You ensure client satisfaction through optimal management of support resources and third-party oversight
  • You effectively complete the different project tasks assigned to you in parallel to your daily activities
  • You effectively use the tools and processes provided to you in line with the Millicom standards
  • You comply with the different Millicom Procedures (Information Security Policy as well as Code of conduct etc.)
  • You identify potential risks that may affect our business / company
  • You support the implementation of the strategy of your department within the overall strategy of the company
  • Specific position related

    This position will primarily be responsible for leading day to day Financial Systems operations, support solutions, external reporting, consolidation, budgeting and Forecasting using the Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting suite of products (Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Financial Reporting, FDM, ERPi), Tidemark (IFRS15), Sigma Conso (IFRS16) and Tableau (Visualization) and Oracle eBPCS.

    As a Financial Systems Manager, you will identify, analyze and communicate key opportunities, while working closely with the Financial Systems Architect to deliver technological process solutions that enable strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

    Additional responsibilities will include ensuring that application controls are designed and operating effectively to support our internal controls over financial reporting including SOX ITGC compliance.

    This role requires proficiency in the analysis of system and business process support incident / issue management, resolution design, implementation and ongoing maintenance.

    It requires a deep working knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management. In addition to delivering excellence in support, control / change management and enhancing / supporting systems, an effective Financial Systems Manager will be expected to contribute relevant functional, and business process expertise, negotiate and drive alignment for all financial systems initiatives which impact our financial close.

    As a bridge between Finance and IT, you need to understand the business needs and priorities while managing support teams and alignment with ESM / ERP and IT infrastructure teams.

    Good communication and managing skills are required : interaction with finance, CXO, external suppliers. You already have experience of teams spread across the globe.

    We are currently looking for manager level who has held similar positions in large public companies or who have held functional lead level positions with a consulting firm for 2 or more years.

    Successful candidates for this position will have the equivalent of 5+ years of professional experience with financial reporting system and process implementation.

    Demonstrated experience in providing leadership to accomplish unusually complex challenges for statutory reporting and budgeting in multiple countries is expected as this is an ongoing requirement for this position.

  • Job Qualifications : - You hold a relevant Master’s degree either in Finance or Information Technology.- You have a 5-10 years’ experience in IT-Finance projects and systems;
  • you successfully delivered technical and / or functional projects, including the implementation and operation of support structures- You have strong analytical skills and understanding of financial systems and SmartView- You understand accounting processes and financial data- You have strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills and can produce quality documentation- You have the ability to easily integrate in a multicultural and fast paced environment- You are fluent in English.

    Spanish proficiency highly desirable- You are end user oriented, calm, communicative, open and willing to changes- You are passionate about your field and can lead your business partners to ensure success- You have an excellent knowledge of Excel including VBA- You know EPM tools such as HFM, Hyperion Planning, Tidemark, FDM, Oracle eBPCS- You have good working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley IT General Controls and IT Processes- You have experience with public company internal controls and compliance requirements
