Our client is an international group, active in production and manufacturing sector with a human-sized structure based in Luxembourg.
Under the supervision of the Head of Consolidation, you will be responsible for assisting the consolidation process for annual and semi-annual closing, using technical consolidation tools (Sigma Conso) and preparing relevant working papers associated to the consolidation process.
As an IFRS Consolidation Analyst, you will be closely involved in the preparation of the Group annual reports.
Your main responsibilities will include :
Working as part of the consolidation team by assisting in the preparation of Consolidated Annual Reports and Semi-Annual Reports under IFRS;
Reviewing and analyzing of the reporting packages prepared at entity level and identify Local Gaap / IFRS differences;
Assist accountants at entity level (subsidiaries and associates) in completing their reporting package and improving their accounting processes with possible travel in Europe, Africa and Asia;
Preparing and sending the representation letters to subsidiaries (they will need to be reviewed together with the consolidation packages);
Preparing and updating consolidation working papers according to IFRS accounting rules ( IAS 2 Inventories; IAS 19 Employee benefits; IFRS16)
Assisting in the preparation and booking of consolidation adjustments in relation to above;
Justifying movements in consolidated equity and preparation of the statement of changes in equity;
Preparing analysis files for management, such as inventory analysis and turnover analysis;
Assisting in the preparation and publication of the Group Annual Report consisting of IFRS consolidated financial statements and notes to the accounts respecting guidelines and set deadlines;
Monitoring compliance with reporting requirements and guidelines;
Providing technical guidance and accounting knowledge to subsidiaries;
Monitoring compliance with IFRS standards and troubleshooting accounting issues;
Monitoring appropriate setting of the consolidation software "Sigma";
Coordinating and providing support during the audit process;
Working on ad-hoc tasks : support on valuation related matters, assessment of impact of new IFRS standards, support during the CSSF review on Group's 3 consolidated Annual Reports, etc.
University degree in accounting and / or finance;
At least 4 / 5 years of experience in consolidation and reporting field;
Fluent in French and in English (both written and spoken);
Very advanced knowledge of IFRS with demonstrated capabilities and interests in technical and complex financial accounting matters;
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with Sigma Conso tool will be an asset;
Excellent analytical and communication skills;
Capacity to assume work under pressure, proactive, team-player and active listener.
