Job Description

As part of our Group Legal team we are flexible with your location which could be either Luxembourg, Belfast or London .

As a Senior Legal Counsel you will draft, review and negotiate legal documents to which IQ EQ Group companies are party to and assist generally on legal matters at Group level.

You will draft and manage contracts and other legal documents, mitigating risks for the Group.

You will provide support and assistance to the Group and our subsidiaries with inter-company agreements and oversee arrangements for their drafting and execution.

Another string to your bow will be to assist in M&A activities to include both governance and regulatory matters.

Drawing on your experience and expertise, you'll manage legal work such as Group level contracts and liaise with the internal and external legal counsel.

This will include the management of step plans and documents lists, preparation / review of draft resolutions and ancillary documents.

You'll proactively progress action points and working effectively with key stakeholders to deliver projects and implement changes.

You will deliver effectively on all tasks and ad hoc duties as requested and required to support the Group General Counsel.

As you build your network, you will liaise with other legal counsel across other units and service lines to deliver a consensus and consistent of approach on particular topics as required.

You will actively research and investigate specific topics and events and prepare memo & reports and advisory information.

You will be responsible for keeping up to date on new laws and regulations that could potentially affect the business.

Qualifications

Qualified lawyer at least 6 years PQE

Excellent knowledge of corporate law, and financial service laws and regulations

Previous experience in a similar in-house role or as lawyer with a regulatory practice

Detailed understanding and experience of risk identification and mitigation

Proficiency in English, French
