We are looking for an Instructional Designer that is bilingual in German and English. You will be responsible for creating training materials in German, conditionalizing existing content for your region and reviewing translated materials for accuracy.
The training materials will consist of instructor-led, self directed, virtual, and eLearning training materials as well as assessments.
Localizing content means making it relevant for specific business operating units and in some cases translating the content into German.
In cases where training content doesn’t already exist, the Localization Instructional Designer will be expected to partner with Program Team members and Subject Matter Experts to conduct training needs analysis, develop training materials and implement an assessment strategy.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Partner with program managers to scope program needs, training and language differences for target operating units and audiences
Design and Develop using instructional design models (ISD-ADDIE, SAM, Agile) to develop blended learning curricula for Seller Support programs
Conduct training discovery sessions with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts including necessary front-end analysis to clearly define program and training outcomes, solutions, and success measures
Design and develop instructor guides, participant materials, assessments, eLearning.
Localize training content for Associates into German
Adapt existing learning content to make it relevant for new target audiences
Manage and maintain all delivery media and eLearning application software
Manage and maintain training content in the Learning Management System and other online repositories
Present / train the content to trainers in train-the-trainer sessions

Expertise in designing, developing, planning, implementing and assessing training.
Experience localizing / translating content from English to German
Demonstrated experience facilitating train-the-trainer programs and coaching trainers.
Demonstrated experience developing to current elearning standards
Demonstrated experience developing eLearning courseware, performance support aids, online tutorials and / or other training materials, including gaming modules.
Expertise in development eLearning tools such as Captivate, Articulate Studio / Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator, Flash,
Excellent communication skills and editing for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development, including superior skill in explaining technical topics to novices and collaborating with subject matter experts and managers.
Excellent business English and German language skills - verbal and written.
Excellent coordination and organization skills.
Ability to design solutions that use multiple learning methods and link appropriate methods with subject matter.
At least 3 years of experience in an instructional design role.
Bachelor’s degree or significant college course work, preferably in a communication, education or related field or equivalent experience.
A passion for effective visual communication and a healthy sense of humor are essential to the role.
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in learning design and development or equivalent experience
CPLP or other learning / training certification a plus
Experience using ATMS or World Server for translation projects
