John Deere Luxembourg is the European Headquarters for John Deere Financial, part of John Deere, the world’s leading producer of agricultural equipment with total net sales and revenues of US$ 29 billion last year.
Our primary activity is providing financial services to John Deere customers and John Deere dealers who want to finance John Deere equipment.
For our Luxembourg business we are looking for a :
Your Responsibilities :
In this position you will be the lead person in charge of managing all sorts of corporate law matters for various John Deere entities in Luxembourg.
To some extent, you will also provide legal support for John Deere’s financing products to John Deere customers and dealers in certain countries.
Special focus areas are :
Manage required corporate law matters and the related documentation, such as resolutions, articles of association, trade register filings, capital increase documentation, share transfer agreements, etc.
with the support of a paralegal,
Prepare and coordinate board and shareholders’ meetings,
Prepare and review various other legal documentation such as intercompany agreements (loans, cash management, rent, etc.
finance agreements (loans, leases), security documents (guarantees, subordination agreements, etc.), dealer agreements, etc.,
Support corporate restructuring projects and collaborate with internal (e.g. corporate treasury and tax department) and external stakeholders,
Support the Global Law Services Group on strategic projects, or other legal & compliance projects,
Perform legal research and related advice, as well as provide proactive recommendations related to all of the above,
Manage outside counsel and notaries, where necessary .

High sense of responsibility and initiative
Excellent understanding of global markets and legal systems
Ability to travel
Fluent in English and German, French would be an asset
European Law degree
4-5 Years of experience in international corporate law, tax knowledge / interest would be an asset
