Due to the continued expansion of our business activities, we are establishing an online broker in Luxembourg and have the following opportunity for a motivated professional.
Chief Risk Officer Responsibilities : Lead responsibility for the anticipation, identification, measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of all the risks to which IB-
EU is, or may be, exposed Ensuring that the regulatory and internal risk limits are compatible with the strategies, activities and organisational / operational structure of IB-
EU Monitoring compliance with the risk limits and ensuring proper escalation procedures in case of breach.
Designing remedial algorithms and procedures to prevent re-occurences of limit breaches Monitoring the implementation of changes to the Firm’s, technologies, services and / or activities in order to ensure continued adherence to existing controls Monitor real-
time systems for margin deficits, erroneous trades, significant net liquidation changes and other issues.
Providing local management and Group Risk Committee with a regular comprehensive overview of the risks to which the institution is, or may be, exposed Preparing, at least once a year, a summary report on the risk control function activities and its operation and submitting it to the CSSF Qualifications : At least 5 years’ experience in Financial Services with exposure to a risk function Brokerage or Banking background would be considered as an advantage Degree in Finance / Economics or substantial job experience Ability to set up a risk management framework and implement the necessary supervisory processes Good understanding of IT systems and programs Fluency in English (written and spoken), with French / German being of benefit Good team player, communicator, structured and analytical problem solver Experience in working within CSSF guidelines is a key advantage You will be part of team that is building one of the world’s strongest brokerage brands, and part of a global enterprise that employs technology in all aspects of its business to generate prudent, controlled growth.
