We are looking for a highly analytical Business Intelligence Engineer to join the EU External Fulfillment team.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will generate insights that will guide operational excellence and product development for our customers.
Data analysis is at the core Amazon’s culture, and your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for our team.
You will be gathering customer insights, mining data, making recommendations, and helping senior leaders make key business decisions.
You will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest and most complex data warehouses in the world to gather insights using data from across Transportation , Supply Chain and Fulfillment.
These efforts will lead to things such as changing the way customers receive packages, developing solutions to delight customers, and solve logistical challenges at an Amazon scale.

friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc.

Partner with operations / business teams to consult, develop and implement KPI’s, automated reporting / process solutions and data infrastructure improvements to meet business needs.
Apply your deep analytic and business intelligence skill to extract meaningful insight and learning from large and complicated data sets.
Serve as liaison between the Business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance, and ad hoc investigations into future improvements or innovations.
This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS BA / BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field 4+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate data into operational planning / business planning or advanced degree Advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau and Quicksight preferred) Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them (verbal / written) to the stakeholders and senior management as required.
Experience in designing and building data infrastructure / automated reporting tools Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data.
An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment Experience in writing and tuning SQL scripts PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field Experience working in very large data warehouse environments Experience conducting large scale data analysis to support business decision making Proven experience in BI / DW as a change leader providing strategic research, recommendations, and implementation in both business and technical roles Experience with Python or other relevant scripting language Experience with relational database design and architecture Applications with English CV only please Are you interested?
