The International Technology team is looking for a Principal Product Manager (Technical) to join us tackling these challenges.
In this role, you will shape Amazon's approach to online marketplace expansion i.e. Amazon's core business. You will create both a global and a localised experience for our customers worldwide.
You do get 'product'. You understand that a successful product needs to solve meaningful problems for Customer, for Business, and for Technology.
You will work with both engineers, designers, and our business teams to (re-)invent a global marketplace product that enhances and expedites Amazon’s expansions worldwide.
You will be responsible for articulating product strategy and value proposition, creating the technical product roadmap, define product features, and work closely with the development teams to incorporate those features into the product.

You will be responsible for :
Articulating product vision, strategy, and value proposition.
Defining the roadmap and lifecycle of online retail expansion and identifying technology products and features (customer experience, milestones).
Influencing technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions, working directly with business stakeholders, engineering managers and principal engineers.
Identifying new opportunities and potential customers that align with product and strategic growth of the company.
Driving product discussions, commissioning market research, usability studies and focus groups.
Developing product plans with clear measurable success criteria, using mechanisms and metrics (KPIs, funnels, conversion, awareness).
Evangelism, branding and marketing of the product.
Successful applicants will have experience delivering products, leading cross-functional teams, and communicating to a large number of stakeholders.
You’ll also need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the company, both in writing and in meetings.

Day to Day :
Collaborate with internal Amazon businesses around the globe to define solutions for expediting and optimising worldwide expansions.
Work backwards from the customers and internal clients to build, develop and manage the product road-map for your services and features
Collaborate with both business and technical teams to bring new innovations to your product
Define, track and analyse metrics related to overall performance, client metrics, operational metrics and service adoption.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
MBA at a recognised institution.
10+ years experience with building software products (preferably in online commerce)
Proven experience in product management of multiple initiatives with competing priority and disparate resourcing.
Experience with working at executive level, defining and managing business requirements and outcomes with our business partners, and working with technical teams to create and integrate relevant projects into that vision.
Experience in building and managing high performing, empowered product teams.
Experience in communicating with technical and non-technical executive stakeholders across multiple business units.
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate across large organisations and diverse business units.
Strong written communication skills : This role requires the creation of a range of documents such a Working Backwards docs, Press Release FAQ docs, Quarterly / Monthly / Weekly Business Review docs.
Masters / PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Executive MBA from a world-leading institution.
Strong business and technical vision; candidate has shaped a complex technical program before, at the scale of Amazon's business.
Experience with the SCRUM / KANBAN methodology for agile software development.
Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
Experience in designing software architectures for scalability, reliability and performance.
