The successful candidate is expected to perform the following tasks :
Contributing to and developing the ongoing research on signal processing for satellite communications
Applying signal processing algorithms / tools for enhancing end-to-end efficiency of satellite networks including on-board processing, interference mitigation, integration with 5G networks
Coordinating research projects and preparing project deliverables
Disseminating results through scientific publications and conferences
Preparing new research proposals to attract industrial, national and European projects
Providing assistance in the supervision of PhD students

A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics with major in signal processing, satellite or wireless communications.
Expertise in signal processing theory and methods including statistical signal processing, MIMO and array processing, sparse processing.
Strong knowledge of wireless communications and optimizaiton
Experience of implementing signal processing systems in Matlab / LabView including filter banks and imperfections; prototyping experience of such systems is highly desirable
Sound publication track record in signal processing tools and / or applications
Strong programming skills in MATLAB / LabView; programming Software Defined Radios is considered positive.
Experience of working with industrial projects and European projects is preferable.
Highly committed, excellent team-worker, and strong critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
