The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Projects Directorate (PJ) Innovation and Competitiveness Department (INCO) Advanced Material Division (AM) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a (Associate) Industry Economist.
This is a full time position at grade 4 / 5.The term of this contract will be 4 years.Panel interviews are anticipated for January 2021 The EIB offers fixed-term contracts of up to a maximum of 6 years, according to business needs, with a possibility to convert to a permanent contract, subject to organisational requirements and individual performance.
PurposeThe (Associate) Industry Economist (internally referred to as (Associate) Economist) will conduct, within multi-disciplinary teams, the due diligence of innovative companies within a wide range of technologically advanced sectors.

The (Associate) Industry Economist will report to the Head of the Advanced Materials (AM) Division and will work in close contact with the executive staff of the INCO Department as well as other services of the Bank.
