In order to support its expansion, Credit Suisse Luxembourg's Credit Risk Management (CRM) department is looking for a Credit Officer.
The CRM department manages the credit risk for a fast growing loan book composed of Private Banking (Lombard and Mortgage Lending), Corporates and Financial Institutions (funds) counterparties.
The successful candidate will cover within the Credit Risk Management team standard and non-standard Lombard transactions and / or Corporate Lending transactions.
Credit risk management :
Perform analysis of loan requests including borrower (private individual or legal entities), client / beneficial owner structure and collateral (incl.
life insurance policies). The role could also involve other types of counterparties / transactions like investment funds, mortgages, cash flow based corporate loans or export finance transactions.
Prepare credit applications and renewals for approval by respective competence levels
Bring solution oriented collaboration with the front office as well as advice to relationship managers for credit matters
Prepare / review credit documentation
Credit risk monitoring :
Ensure continuous and timely credit risk monitoring (incl. annual review of financials / ratings, where applicable)
Provide pro-active management of risks incl. timely identification of positions at risk, undertaking of appropriate measures and escalation to superior if required
Credit administration :
Ensure timely limit approval / system input / renewal / cancellation
Review and control completeness and correctness of credit documentation and system input, in close collaboration with Legal & Compliance (where necessary)
Credit reporting :
Support / take over some of the team's reporting duties towards management in Luxembourg and Switzerland
Support the team in or lead specific CRM related projects such as new products and regulations or improvement / efficiency gains of processes
Support the team in all credit matters as a back-up
Graduate or 1-3 years’ experience in finance industry (ideally credit related role - Lombard lending, derivatives and corporate analysis knowhow is a plus)
Master level in Finance or Economics (University, Business School)
Languages : fluent in English and in French (knowledge of German or another 3rd language is a plus)
Strong interest and understanding of financial products
Sound analytical skills, risk awareness and solution-oriented working method with good communication skills, attention to details
Positive attitude, ability to work efficiently and effectively, strong commitment to deliver a high level of service
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
