Vice President for Real Asset Funds Outstanding Asset Manager
A reputable global Asset Management firm is creating a new position for a Vice President for Real Assets Services for their Luxembourg office.
Due to a new project and increasing number of funds you would be part of the team growing from 8 / 9 people to nearly 20 in the next 6-12 months.
The company has a very diverse nature, with a very European environment with about 11 different nationalities, and an office of about 30 fund specialists.
The work is mixed focusing Real Estate, property with other alternative aspects, but also working with other AIF and UCITS teams based through Europe and America, so you will be getting great exposure to all funds and their life cycles.
You will be coming in at a senior level but due to the way the company function, as the hierarchy is quite flat, there is great responsibility and room to grow as Luxembourg in the HQ.
This Team provides a comprehensive and global company secretarial and governance service to the Company’s business, working with Managers and Directors who have been with the firm for over 10 years.
Report to the Director of Real Assets, managing at least one fund and holding mandates.
Work with other VPs and Directors throughout the project in European and other countries.
Deal with A-Z fund life cycle function with Junior and Senior Officers
Attend board meetings and take the minutes at the meeting
Assisting with Luxembourg entities and work with decision-makers.
Reviewing quarterly reports and annual asset plans, and preparing board papers for the physical meetings held in Luxembourg
Incorporation of SPVs in various jurisdictions throughout Europe and liaising with service providers
Maintenance of statutory information and responding to KYC queries
Acting as a liaison point with auditors, lawyers, providing assistance / responding to general requests
Supervision and management of a specific range of product
Managing workflows / delegating tasks to the associate and analyst working on the same range product.
Transition outsourced funds in-house
Job Essentials :
Fluent English, other languages a plus
Extensive exposure to CoSec Function and fund administration
Excellent minute taking ability required - board governance expertise
Real estate or property fund exposure in the industry would be preferred
Knowledge of Luxembourg regulatory environment and vehicles
Autonomous work ethics, to make deadlines
Highly organized, good communication skills
Excellent communication skills as will report to the Board of Directors
Work in a highly reputable in-house asset manager
Deal with large shareholders and RE funds
Manage and train eager juniors
Work with Directors that have been in company 15 years+
