MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
Drive scalable business solutions to ensure compliance with customs and import & export regulations in the region;
Support / Oversee country and regional projects focused on Trade Compliance development;
Serve as the point of contact for Customs and other trade regulator inquiries;
Process implementation work within the team, businesses and Corporate Legal to enforce corporate policies;
Work with stakeholders to identify needs and provide solutions to support company's growth;
Monitor and apprise Amazon of upcoming regulatory changes;
Assist with regular audits, including valuation, classification, import taxes, etc.;
Support on providing targeted training on specific trade compliance topics for stakeholders;
Collaborate with Legal and Tax departments on efforts as necessary;
Interface with customs regulators as required;
Collaborate with Amazon’s technology teams to develop creative and best-in-class trade compliance solutions;
Leverage data to continuously improve Compliance at Amazon
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University;
Proven Trade Compliance experience related to Customs Rules;
Proven experience with Project Management;
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position;
Significant experience on an import / export compliance environment;
Strong knowledge of Trade Compliance laws;
Strong analytical and computer skills;
Strong written and oral communication skills;
Self-motivated, flexible, and able to develop
Ability to obtain approval to work in Luxembourg;
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations;
Ability to turn complex compliance requirements into scalable solutions;
Common sense, great judgment and a good sense of humor.
Fluency in German or Dutch is a plus;
Prior experience with retail, e-commerce or electronics industry;
Experience working with IT professionals and process improvement techniques such as Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing;
Ability to monitor and measure results with analytical thinking and program management mindset;
Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
