Private Equity Fund Controller (M / F) Based in Luxembourg, the Fund Controller will assist with the management and controlling of a portfolio of companies of the Luxembourg Fund and its SPVs.
The Role : Assisting with the review process of financial reports (monthly / quarterly / annual) using IFRS for European group companies located in multiple jurisdictions;
Participating in overseeing the annual budgeting process for the companies;Liaising with auditors and completing all necessary reporting and investigation associated with financial reports and address any issues or auditor’s recommendations raised;
Supporting company staff and external advisors in various projects;Preparing routine documentation in relation to the Fund’s financing process, essentially bank loan drawdowns, debt summaries and intercompany loan tracking overviews;
Monitoring and assist standard regulatory and administrative requirements of the portfolio;Following-up with service providers regarding any issues raised until resolution;
Assisting with quarterly investor reporting preparation;Preparing year-end files and liaising with auditors. The Candidate Profile : Newly qualified accountant, holding a recognized Accountancy qualification and / or educated to degree level in a finance related discipline with previous fund accounting experience;
At least 2 years’ experience within the fund industry (private equity sector would be a plus);Strong written and oral communication skills;
Candidate must have a good knowledge of the English and French language (oral and writing);Proficient in the use of Microsoft office, particularly Excel;
Good working knowledge of fund accounting under Luxembourg GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS;Ability to build and develop relationships with internal / external stakeholders as well as previous experience working with auditors;
Good attention to detail and reaching high-level quality standards is your main goal (mandatory);You work with flexibility and are a strong team player.
