EVRAZ, a FTSE-100 international metals and mining group, is searching a talent to join its Luxembourg treasury and tax office in a capacity of Treasurer (Russian speaking).
In this role, you will become a part of EVRAZ finance team and focus on managing treasury operations of group’s international holding and financial companies (UK, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Cyprus) in close collaboration with London, Moscow and Zug offices.
This role requires application of accumulated experience in treasury operations, combination of diligent approach to treasury matters, proactive development of treasury function, involvement into wider corporate processes done at level of holding and financial companies of the group, and supervision / coordination of several colleagues with treasury scope.
Job description Implementation and optimization of payment processes of holding and financial companies of EVRAZ in Luxembourg, UK, Netherlands and Cyprus : Maintaining SWIFT, internal treasury systems, cash and custody accounts etc, scheduling and supervising timely payment processing.
Developing relationship with major payment banks of holding companies. Leading IT projects related to improvements of payment process and payment system infrastructure.
Organization of group cross-jurisdictional cash flows : Structuring of intra-group loans and other agreements, including intra-group dividend flows and other cash flows between companies of the group.
Coordination of execution with local treasuries in Russia, Switzerland and the US. Complete oversight of such arrangement of international holding and financial companies.
Leading the documentation preparation and review, monitoring cash flow plans and cash-related forecasts. Managing the use of group’s free cash : Management of holding companies’ free cash balances, including placement of deposits, performing FX spot and forward transactions hedging currency exposure, coordination of execution with local treasuries etc.
Performing open market securities transactions : maintaining infrastructure, arranging internal liquidity and ensuring timely execution and settlement.
Participating in treasury support of group’s financing activities : Setup and maintenance of required infrastructure for derivative transactions (e.
g relevant ISDA frameworks). Negotiation and execution of fx and interest rate derivatives related to new financing, participation in potential projects with corporate finance team in funding and aimed on development of hedging arrangements.
Participating in treasury support of group M&A activities : Review of transaction documents from treasury perspective, setting up required infrastructure / conditions precedent required for execution of transactions.
Risk management : Supervision of consolidation, monitoring and reporting of the group consolidated cash position, analysis of group’s exposure to banks and local overdue receivables position.
Participation in setting group’s cash management targets and coordination with local treasuries on their achievement. Performing budget and controlling processes of holding and investment companies : Consolidation of annual budgets of holding and investment companies, monitoring and controlling budget limits, approval of payments.
Development of smooth budget controls systems of international holding and investment companies of the group. Key capabilities Higher Education with a major in Economics or Finance from reputable university.
At least 5 years (preferably 7 years) of experience in treasury of multinational corporation with experience of independent work and management of team members.
Thorough knowledge of treasury-related and tax-related matters of various-type cash flows between Russia / CIS, Switzerland, UK and EU jurisdictions, including Luxembourg and Cyprus.
Expertise in structuring of the cross-border lending facilities, including dealing with constraints existing in regions with capital controls.
Knowledge of derivative markets, major derivative classes, way and purpose of use, valuation and risks. Proven experience in execution of derivative transactions under ISDA / CSA terms.
Knowledge of capital markets, securities categories, types, purposes, advantages and risks of use. Proven experience in open market transactions, e.
g. Eurobonds, cross-border equity securities purchases etc. Full working proficiency (written and verbal) in both Russian and English is mandatory.
Solid analytical skills, accuracy, attention to details and ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize assignments.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Bloomberg, S.W.I.F.T. connectivity and payment processes.
