We are looking for a Data Analyst who will support Greenomy's product team in the collection and analysis of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data in line with the new Sustainable Finance Taxonomy classification put in place by the European Commission.
Our team has strong ties with the sustainable finance ecosystem and the person in this role will have an excellent opportunity to work with the professional community on the evolution of ESG data standards.
The role would be perfect for an up-and-coming business analyst looking to expand into more direct technical experiences.
The Data Analyst will be adept using large data sets to find applicability for classification and coding of non-financial data using the Taxonomy, and identify improvements area in data processing.
We are searching for someone with experience in aggregating, analyzing, and reporting financial and ESG data. Knowledge of sustainable finance, ESG reporting, NACE codes and ISIN databases is preferable.
In this role, you will :
Be the SME (Subject Matter Expert) with a passion for organizing non-financial data for true environmental impact transparency
You assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
You coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes
You develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
You help the team generate financial reports using data analysis and integration
You maintain the stability and the quality of the data processed through the real time platforms
You are the subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex data applications
Who are we looking for?
You have a Bachelor in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field.
You have experience in the financial sector in sustainability and have knowledge of ESG data, NACE codes, ISIN databases and the Taxonomy
You have strong knowledge and understanding of investment / financial reporting
You are fluent in English
You are organized, orderly, and can work in a semi-autonomous manner tackling challenges
You have strong problem solving skills with emphasis on solving customer problems and delivering value
A major plus would be prior experience in structured information systems such as taxonomic or ontological development
Also of benefit would be knowledge of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages / drawbacks
Finally, a major plus would be having experience in working with regulatory data and mapping data to the XBRL reporting format.
