The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day strategic, management, tactical development of customers of Made In Space Europe space robotics products, and in finding new sales opportunities will structure such opportunities to maximize Pwin.
This role requires daily interaction with the Sales Director, the engineering team, and the program management organization.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining new customer relationships.
The ideal candidate has a technical background to ensure compliance with customer requirements, and is a passionate storyteller.
You ensure that facts are laid out in a compelling manner. As the Sales Manager, you will leverage your connections across the industry to help foster new business opportunities for Made In Space Europe.
Success in this position is essential for our business because it represents the direct connection between the customer and the products that we are building.
Generate new, high-volume customers for space-optimised robotic arms and electro-mechanical products;
Identify and obtain all internal and external materials needed to close a customer sale;
Manage relationships, lead negotiations, and generate sales with several key customers;
Oversee CRM database;
Manage Sales Engineers to deliver to customer necessary sales documents;
Coordinate unique sales strategy with the Sales Director and Made In Space Europe executives;
Generate a master schedule for customer sales and regularly report this to the Sales Director and the engineering team.
Held a sales role in the aerospace industry for at least 5 years;
Demonstrated experience working with large international aerospace primes, government agencies, and other aerospace entities;
Led and closed 10 or more sales in the space industry in the last 5 years;
Fluency in English;
Excellent written, spoken and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Currently in a sales position;
Fluency in German and / or French languages;
Bachelor’s degree or greater in engineering discipline;
Business degree (master or postgraduate);
Member of one or more of the following : AIAA, ISU-Alumni, Space Frontier Foundation, SEDS-Alumni, SGC, Secure World Foundation;
Experience writing proposals and participating in contracts with government agencies and private companies;
Extensive experience closing deals in the global aerospace market.
