The Amazon Transportation Services Europe (ATS EU) Network Planning team is looking for a detail-oriented, highly analytical, innovative, hands-
on, technically skilled, and customer-obsessed Network Program Manager who will help developing a best-in-class middle mile network for the European Marketplace to deliver high quality customer experience while minimizing cost and improving fulfillment speed.
The candidate will also lead the volume management effort for Sort Centers across Europe.
As part of the Network Planning team, you will be responsible for :
Optimizing the middle mile network for customer experience, cost and speed.
Evaluation of business cases impacting the network on the parameters of customer experience, cost and speed.
Managing volumes on a daily basis to ensure right performance while optimizing the cost for the entire network
Improving / automating the decision making and network audit process to improve efficiency.
Developing new metrics, dashboards to monitor the efficiency of the middle mile network.
Collaborating with multiple stakeholders within ATS team (Sort Centers, Line Haul, Amazon Air, Finance) and outside ATS team with EU Customer Fulfillment, and Amazon Logistics.
Working closely with colleagues (Operations Research Scientists and Network Planners) to drive analysis, business cases and alignment with business stake-holders.
Supporting the development of OR Tools defining the functional specifications and being a primary user of these tools.
BA or BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or another technical field.
Proven experience in delivering and influencing business processes using data analysis.
Proven experience of working in a highly complex analytical environment preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation Planning.
Experience in Statistical Software such as R, SAS, SPSS, MINITAB
Able to write SQL scripts for analysis and reporting ( SQL, MySQL)
Experience using one or more of Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java, C++ programming languages
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences.
Fluency in English is required.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to various facilities in the Amazon network.
Master’s degree or equivalent in Logistics / Supply Chain / Mathematics / Science / Engineering / Business Development.
Fluency in German, French, Polish, or other European languages.
