We are looking for an experienced professional with the proven ability to build and drive core buying functions for a category or categories.

You will be responsible for driving the top and bottom line of the P&L and will expand the business by initiating vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, developing promotions, and monitoring and reacting to industry trends.

You will be an effective leader and communicator, with strong business acumen, acute analytical skills, and the demonstrated ability to use creative thinking and innovation to solve complex problems.

The position is based in Amazon EU Luxembourg Headquarters

Responsibilities :

  • Negotiate all terms & conditions, contracts with new and existing vendors moving towards a direct import model.
  • Drive integration between new vendors and Amazon supply chain, product compliance and merchandizing processes.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and contract standards.
  • Monitor, analyze and own key performance indicators
  • Work with vendors and Amazon operations to ensure a reliable, operational a cost effective flow of goods, from ordering to receive.
  • Work with internal teams to understand the systems and variables that affect purchasing and vendor management decisions.
  • Lead projects and regular business improvement initiatives as may be decided from time to time.
  • Several years of experience in sales / business development / account management with P&L or revenue center responsibility
  • Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management with top level organization delegates at the manufacturer side
  • Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
  • Tenacity to drive business independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success.
  • Candidate must be fluent in English
  • MBA studies
  • Experiences in business with international supply chain / import challenges, preferable in retail
  • German, French, Swedish or other additional European languages is a benefit
  • Must be a proven team leader and role model.
