Job purpose :
A Lux Business Service Team Leader will provide excellent client service in partnership with the Private Banker teams by :
Manage the team of approx. 2 Client Service Officers
Manage the day-to-day administrative needs of clients to ensure timely execution of transactions and to enhance customer satisfaction.
Supporting the processing of transactions for Private Banking client accounts, e.g. Fund transfers, external payments, creation of deposit placements, purchase / redeem of funds / equity / bonds
Being responsible for the Client Service in the Luxembourg Booking Centre

Main Responsibilities :
Day-to-day management of a sub-team (approx. 2 individuals) which includes but is not limited to goals setting, mid-year and year-
end appraisals, development discussions, 1-2-1s etc.
Taking care of HR related tasks for a sub-team which includes but is not limited to holiday planning, making sure compliance with MAP, recruitment etc.
Monitoring / supervising daily queues to make sure timely execution and prompt turnaround
Take an active role in streamlining processes and delivering change initiatives
The team is involved in processing all client related transactions in a professional and timely manner related to internal / external payment requests, Trade execution and all other types of transactions across banks internal systems
Daily cash management, problem resolutions relating to cash management, research and order processing for clients
Understand how to execute transactions across the broad array of Citi products
Organize and track tasks, following up on pending items to ensure timely execution
Adhere to all regulatory, internal Compliance and AML policy requirements
Flag potential illegal or improper transactions and comply with all regulatory policies and control procedures
Develop knowledge base and skills through specific internal courses
Serve as a valued resource to team members and colleagues by sharing knowledge, information and best practices
Manage the Client Service in the Luxembourg Booking Centre by regular communication and relationship with Banker Teams, Client Onboarding, Operations in helping resolve and address any issues
Seek regular feedback from the partners to make sure the service level in Luxembourg office is at the expected level
Work closely with the partners in initiating and booking center locations across EMEA
Respond promptly to all requests from initiating and booking centers promptly and effectively to resolve related problems
Minimize operational risk through appropriate quality control and procedures and engage in regular control’s assessment
Maintain a high quality of delivery
Provide support in training new members of the team
Lead by example and mentor junior members of the sub-team
Drive a service of excellence approach
Making sure all other internal policies are satisfied e.g COB, RMO, MCA etc.

The role provides insight into all aspects of transactional processing and will give the candidate a broad understanding of Private Banking products, compliance and AML.
Additionally, the role may entail involvement in high-profile projects, with senior management exposure.

Knowledge / experience :
Experience with managing a group of people
The successful candidate should have a broad range of product knowledge and applicants should be numerate, computer literate with the ability to understand new systems quickly
Industry experience within Private Banking, Financial Markets and a varied knowledge would be preferable
Knowledge and experience of Citi Private Bank a bonus
Fluency in spoken and written English, other languages an advantage.
Ability to cope with ambiguity and change high adaptability.
Ability to challenge status quo and continuously optimize processes and tasks in own area of responsibility.

Degree educated, preferably in a Finance, Business Management or Economics discipline, however exceptional candidates with other qualifications will be considered.

Ability to build effective working relationships across hierarchal levels and functions
Is aware of, and effectively manages, risk and compliance related situations in his / her area
Numerate, analytical mind, with strong problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
The role is a Controlled function’ CF as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 and European Central Bank (Single Supervisory Mechanism) Regulations 2014 (and related regulations and guidance).
