Description
The Operation Excellence Reliability Manager will be responsible for new and existing reliability process transformation, development, and improvements.
The candidate will be able to work in a collaborative work setting as well as communicate with Guardian manufacturing facilities throughout the world.
The desired candidate will provide technical reliability knowledge to support complex, multi-disciplinary technology advancement projects.
The candidate must interact with regional operations and local plant personnel to develop a point of view on current and future reliability and maintenance improvements which requires leadership skills to influence these personnel.
This will drive long-term value creation for Guardian Glass.This candidate will support the initiatives for both asset life cycle and stable operations.
What You Will Do In Your Role
Participate in setting the vision for reliability for the region and priorities for reliability improvements for Guardian operations
Engaged in the Guardian reliability transformation and support the operations team on the plan for execution (Reliability Knowledge, Change Management, Asset Strategies)
Support reliability input for the capital process for float and fabrication operations (DFMEA, Maintainability analyses capability)
Function as a resource for the follow up on reliability issues to enable continuous improvement (RCA, FMEA leadership capability)
Continuously improve the region’s reliability systems to reduce unplanned events
Build relationships with the Operations organizations to improve customer focus and translate their needs into reliability activities
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements :
B.S. degree in Engineering, or Associates Degree in Engineering and 5 to 10 years of work experience in reliability and maintenance within a manufacturing enterprise.
Reliability / maintenance process knowledge and experience in full scale manufacturing and development.
Leading through influence and example to drive change within our operations
Experience in maintenance leadership positions or background reliability fundamentals and maintenance work-flow processes
Strong problem-solving skills (Root cause mapping facilitation)
Solid technical writing and presentation skills
General personal computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
Strong communication skills are required to project information in a professional manner to both technical and non-technical groups
Open minded with a strong desire to work with and contribute to an innovative team
Flexibility to regional travel to Guardian sites to promote reliability projects / transformation.
What Will Put You Ahead
Solid educational or work experience and experimental foundation with a working knowledge of reliability and maintenance strategies (Certified Reliability Professional CMRP / CAMA).
Project management and executing of projects that require multi-functional involvement for implementation
Lean / Six Sigma Experience (Green / Black Belt)
