Amazon is looking for a Head of Product Management - Retail Vendor Onboarding to support the growth of Retail Vendor Recruitment (RVR) Team.

The RVR team owns the on-boarding of new vendors onto the Amazon Retail platform at scale and helps new vendors grow their businesses, in order to grow relevant selection for Amazon customers throughout Europe.

  • This role will build a robust product and program plan driving innovation for processes covering the full vendor on-boarding funnel, identifying improvement areas and working to address those in the vendor and internal facing tools to improve experience;
  • starting from lead management over vendor negotiations and vendor experience to selection creation. In this role, you will interact closely with other PM teams, Retail, Finance and software development to drive scale and productivity gains for Retail Vendor Recruitment and improve experience for our customers (vendors).

    The candidate for this position will possess deep knowledge and expertise in technical and business fields, and have strong experience designing and implementing effective mechanisms to improve our scalability.

    This role will be responsible for defining an operational and technical plan to improve the buyability and reach of our selection across Europe, improve the scalability of our onboarding process and drive growth and efficiency programs across the different locations of RVR team.

    The ideal candidate sees around corners, is biased for action in ensuring the team is set up for success in achieving our goals, and earns trust through broad stakeholder influence.

    This role is inherently cross-functional and visible with senior leadership. You will prepare strategic recommendations, roadmaps and program updates to senior management.

    The right candidate will possess a strong customer experience, analytical mastermind and strong commercial backbone and have a track record for developing a vision, defining a strategy and building programs and change from the ground up.

    Key responsibilities :

  • Partner with Vendor Managers, Country Leaders and key retail category functions to support defining priorities and operational goals to achieve our growth targets
  • Audit metrics regularly to continually drive quality of vendor and employee experience across multiple sub-categories
  • Define the skills required within the team to support your vendors with specific problematics
  • Collaborate with Selling Partner team to build the roadmap to improve vendor experience
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization to support the improvement of tools and productivity
  • Help drive key business initiatives, managing the planning, development and roll-out.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS or BA in computer science, engineering, math, finance, economics or related
  • 10+ years of product management or consulting experience in technology focused business
  • Team orientation and willingness to roll up sleeves to solve complex, dynamic challenges
  • Strong relationship building skills; experience leading stakeholders and partners to drive cross functional programs
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, developers and business owners
  • Basic Knowledge of SQL
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to derive actionable insights from large amounts of data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; at ease when dealing with senior management.
  • Able to understand technical issues and their implications
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with track record for delivering results in dynamic and demanding environments
  • Strong bias for action, able to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean work environment
  • Advanced Knowledge of SQL
