Your Role

The successful candidate will join a strong and motivated research team led by Prof. Björn Ottersten and Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas to work as a Research & Development specialist in the following topics (or more) :

  • Interference mitigation and resource allocation in Multi-beam satellite systems
  • Test bed implementation for High Throughput Satellite Systems (HTS)
  • Wireless (5G)
  • The position holder will be required to perform the following tasks :

  • Perform simulation, design and implementation of SATCOMs systems
  • Perform simulation, design and implementation of wireless / 5G systems
  • Implementation of predefined algorithms on SDR environments
  • Perform laboratory experimentation, validation, and testing
  • Assisting in organization of relevant workshops and demos
  • Your Profile

    Qualification : The candidate should possess a Master in Engineering (M.E. or M.Sc.) degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics.

    Experience : The ideal candidate should have some knowledge and experience in a number of the following topics :

  • FPGA development and verification
  • Digital Signal Processing and algorithm design
  • Wireless and / or Satellite communications
  • Laboratory Instrumentation
  • Test-bed design and implementation on Software Defined Radio platforms
  • Programming skills in at least one of the following : MATLAB / Simulink, GNURadio / C / C++, Labview, Xilinx Tools (Vivado, Embedded processors, Zynq, etc)
  • Language Skills : Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
