About the Team & Role :

Over the past 20 years Citco has invested heavily in growing the Private Equity & Real Estate lines of business. Our global Centres of Excellence are home to some of the most accomplished professionals in the sector, providing best in class client support and unparalleled opportunities for learning, development and career progression.

Due to continued growth an opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and highly capable Operations Director to join the PE management team and provide leadership for Luxembourg operations.

The role will be responsibe for resource and growth management, and will directly manage operational elements associated with the business.

It is a high visibility role participating with senior executives and has direct impact on shaping Citco’s Private Equity model, and innovating around process optimisation.

Job Duties in Brief :

  • Manage private equity and real estate client relationships within Europe.
  • Provide technical accounting, fund operations, and real estate reporting standards knowledge and expertise to clients.
  • Work closely with Business Development and Senior Management teams on marketing pitches and other client presentations.
  • Preparation of client service plans including; assessing client fund servicing needs, securing adequate resources to service the account, selecting the technology solutions best suited for the services, and negotiating contracts and fees.
  • Assist with the development of on-boarding and transition plans for new client integration, and develop best practice models for service delivery.
  • Manage fund accounting group operations, staffing, hiring, training and development, and escalation of issues.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with client agreement including monitoring the timing and quality of client deliverables, approve ad hoc client requests.
  • Implementation of fund structures within Citco technology and third party vendor systems where required, Coordinate, manage and monitor fund set up and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with Integration, Legal, Compliance, Financial Reporting and Tax group functions and other key stakeholders including the review of Real Estate fund client’s partnership agreements, PPM’s and other structuring materials as needed.
  • About You :

  • BBS in Accounting / Finance or related discipline with at least 10+ years private equity and / or real estate investment accounting experience, predominantly in private equity funds.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ demonstrated senior leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, business planning and budgeting, margin analysis, rating agency relations and technical accounting.
  • Proven track record in building up a line of business with sustainable YOY growth.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures and applicable tax reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with Investran, Yardi, MRI, or other PERE software packages highly advantageous.
  • Experience in developing / implementing / optimising business processes in the PERE investments funds space solutions and execution focused.
  • Knowledge of International GAAP / IFRS Accounting Principles.
  • Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel).
  • CPA, ACCA, CIMA designation advantageous).
