Role Overview This is a great opportunity to join SIM EU as it becomes a centre of excellence focusing on regulated Management Company activities, best in class client service, governance and product expertise.
A new position has been created in our Product division, a core pillar of the Management Company, and will be a key contributor to our 1st line of defence capability.
The Senior Specialist in Product Lifecycle, reporting to the Head of Product Lifecycle, will have responsibility for supporting our strategic roadmap, which centres on effective management, product expertise and excellence, and timely implementation / facilitation of fund lifecycle events for Public and Private Assets (PE, RE, SME lending, Infrastructure Debt etc.
from launch through to liquidation.
Key functions of the role
Organise and coordinate the operational implementation of products and product changes, including prospectus changes for mandates, public and private assets and shareholder notifications.
Maintenance of Product Pipeline.
Active contributor to product Development meetings and calls regarding pipeline.
Provide pro-active advice to peers and stakeholders on product options covering Luxembourg fund vehicle types and, as an example, the benefits of regulated vs non regulated vehicles and market developments relevant to new product proposals by closely collaborating with key stakeholders (e.g.
Portfolio Management, Distribution and Product Functions within the group).
Analyse product proposals in terms of operational feasibility, advise on alternative options and identify potential pain points and constraints as well as planning the product roll-out and implementation.
Coordinate and lead the team for operational readiness e.g.
the (sub) team in charge of coordinating required updates of prospectus, drive process locally, produce documents.
Coordinate and facilitate complex product activities such as liquidations, mergers, reorganisations, on-boarding of non-
Luxembourg domiciled products to the European Fund Services platform.
Review fund and fund-related documentation to ensure consistency and advise on updates.
Review shareholder communications and manage the review cycle locally (timeline, sign-off, translations, despatch).
Ensure compliance with the CSSF Circular 18 / 698.
Solid understanding of Investment products and Financial Instruments
Experience based knowledge and a clear understanding of Product Lifecycle requirements and procedures of both Private (Alternative Assets such as Private Equity, Real Estate, SME lending, Infrastructure Debt etc.
and Public Assets (UCITS, segregated mandates, FCP’s)
Strong planning and prioritisation skills
Strong relationship skills in order to coordinate multiple parties involved in implementing changes
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Fluency in English is essential Desirable Skills
Experience of SIM EU current product set and holistic operational process would be an advantage
Experience in current SIM EU Product environment would be a significant advantage
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to engage and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and complete assigned work within established timeframes
Ability to communicate with, and deliver key messages to various levels of Management
Knowledge of another European language would be an advantage
