Internship Process Engineer (M / F) based in Dudelange - Luxembourg We’re part of the Koch Industries family of companies.

You will be part of our process burner group in our office in Dudelange, Luxembourg. Our main field of experience is to design, optimize and to test process burners for various applications like ethylene cracking, refining, and reforming.

In addition, we use proprietary CFD analysis techniques to predict and improve combustion performance and pollutant emissions, allowing us to optimize the equipment within our customers specific application before it is ever manufactured.

Our process burner team will support you and will help you to grow. A Day In The Life Typically Includes : We are always looking for ways to improve ourselves and our product.

As part of this process we are looking for a new optimization methodology which can be applied to various topics. The target of this project is to analyze different optimizations algorithms in terms of their capabilities and performance and to implement this algorithm into a workflow in StarCCM+.

The functionality shall then be applied to one of our burner internals to optimize certain performance criteria. Those criteria can be further specified during the early stage of this project.

The project is scheduled for 6 months. You will have a dedicated workplace in our John Zink Hamworthy Combustion office in Dudelange, Luxembourg.

What You Will Need : Extended experience in the field of Computed Fluid Dynamics is mandatory Extended experience in 3D-CAD is mandatory Knowledge of advanced mathematics is mandatory Fluent in English is mandatory Skills in programming are beneficial, Java is considered as a plus First knowledge about optimization algorithms is considered as a plus Experience in combustion modeling is considered as a plus What Will Put You Ahead?
