Senior Financial Analyst - General Accounting (m / f)
The opportunity :
The Senior Financial Analyst General Accounting is part of the BeNeLux General Accounting team and primarily responsible for ensuring timely and accurate closing and financial reporting for BeNe.
To ensure accurate and timely preparation and analysis of month end closing and financial reporting in compliance with local and US accounting standards. This includes e.g.
To co-ordinate and monitor day-to-day general accounting, closing and reporting for assigned countries and functional areas
To work closely with the Shared Service Center team and support on ad hoc matters as needed
To collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and as required, provide input for accruals and other closing entries
To review journal entries and account reconciliation
To perform financial analysis and analytical reviews of actuals
To manage the annual statutory closing and reporting process for assigned countries and to work closely with external auditors during the audit process
Drive continuous improvement activities and business partnering with key internal and external stakeholders
To lead and / or participate in special projects & ad hoc analysis
Interact effectively with various levels of the Goodyear EMEA organization as well as collaboratively with other members of the local finance team
To join our team you will need :
Education : Masters degree specialized in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
The candidate must be fluent (writing and speaking) in English
Fluency in Dutch and / or French will be considered as a strong asset
Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in accounting / auditing environment or equivalent
Skills & Qualifications :
Strong understanding of accounting principles with an emphasis on General Accounting
Proficiency in Excel is a must. Knowledge in SAP is required
Ability to be effective in a high volume of data, fast paced changing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly accurate in analytical work
Team player, self-driven, taking initiative & enthusiastic
Well organized and flexible
Communicate and interact within a multinational company on a cross-functional basis
