About the team & role
In your role as part of the valuation team you will do the following :
provide iptiQ EMEA's liability valuations on different reporting principles (Luxembourg statutory, US GAAP, Solvency II, IFRS, EVM);
provide actuarial assessment on new product implementation;
assist in the preparation of technical notes for new and existing products;
liaise with other iptiQ EMEA functions such as Finance, Products and Risk Management to ensure that iptiQ's valuation and risk management principles are in line with the Group standards;
support the regulatory reporting activities in conjunction with the Finance division and legal function;
perform experience analysis and prepare the review of key actuarial assumptions to ensure long term profitability of the business;
ensure an appropriate control framework is in place and matches the business requirements;
contribute in the development and maintenance of deep knowledge of insurance practices and market developments within the European Economic Area, in particular Germany, the Netherlands, UK, France, Spain, Italy and Ireland.
University degree; mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or related field with proven mathematical skills and analytical ability;
Qualified actuary or nearly qualified;
Work experience of 5+ years in primary L&H insurance and / or consulting environment with actuarial focus;
Proficient understanding of Luxembourg statutory, US GAAP and IFRS standards for L&H business;
Good knowledge on Solvency II requirements;
Strong knowledge of MS Office suite (particularly of MS Excel), Moses / MGAlfa;
You are organized, a motivated team player and comfortable in a multi-cultural environment;
Strong verbal and written communication : ability to communicate complex issues to others in a clear and concise manner.
Your English is excellent; French is a plus.
