Major Purpose :
The Financial Analyst at John Deere Bank performs receivables portfolio and pricing analytics, ad-hoc and cost-benefit analysis (e.
g. Discounted Cash Flow, Lease vs. Buy) for financial products and supplies, capital budgeting. The role also includes financial counselling & guidance to management / other functional disciplines hence plays a critical role in Finance & Accounting and in John Deere Bank S.A. overall.
Major Duties :
In this position, you will provide accurate and timely financial information and perform financial analysis. Key focuses will be on portfolio & cost analysis related to monitoring and development of business strategies.
Evaluate profitability of John Deere Bank’s portfolios, products and channels
Provide analysis of trends, and forecasts and recommend actions to be presented to management
Analyze financial data from various sources and develop financial models (e.g. Discounted Cash Flow, Lease vs. Buy) to support business development and budgeting
Participate to the pricing process for John Deere Bank’s portfolios
Participate within Bank reporting process
Create and distribute financial performance reports for regular leadership reviews
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, reporting / forecasting tools, and Excel dashboards
Degree in Accounting / Finance discipline (University Degree 4 years or equivalent).
Relevant Work Experiences :
Experience in Finance, Economics, Statistics. - 4-6 years.
Technical Skills & Knowledge :
Skillset required is a combination of financial accounting with a strong passion for data science & analytics and process automation.
High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
Experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives
Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
Strong analytical and data gathering skills
Capacity to solve problems, identify options, and propose a reasoned solution.
Dynamic and flexible to quickly adapt to a changing environment.
Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
Strong team player
Understanding of financial concepts such as budgets, discounted cash flow (DCF), return on investment (ROI), operating return on assets (OROA), return on equity (ROE), shareholder value added (SVA), etc.
