What is the opportunity?

As Director Global Client Coverage, you will be driving the development of new opportunities in the Nordic Markets and you will be managing existing Nordic relationships.

Your interaction with our clients is mainly at C-Suite level and you will secure client satisfaction by ensuring RBC I&TS delivery of solutions across all geographies to enable client growth.

You build strong, long lasting relationships to maintain and strategically develop profitable business in the Nordic Region for RBC Investor & Treasury Services and the wider RBC organization.

You protect & retain NIAT / Revenue for I&TS’ Coverage Relationships and drive broader cross-sell opportunities for the wholesale bank and ensure significant value creation and NIAT production.

What will you do?

  • Execute and develop the Nordic Sales Strategy, growing the Nordic client base and expanding share of wallet on existing relationships
  • Participate in local market initiatives, manage prospect calls and drive presentations
  • Manage a client portfolio through a Net’ perspective ensuring profitable growth opportunities & minimize any portfolio loss or negative re-pricing
  • Ensure focus is directed to on strategy’ and strong NIAT generating opportunities
  • Relationship Management - Primary Coverage and maintenance of a detailed Client Plan as the book of record to maintain history, corporate knowledge and to educate the wider organization
  • Work closely with Segment MDs leveraging their expertise, connectivity, segment view and win / loss assessment
  • Demonstrate wide ranging engagement with colleagues in RBC Capital Markets and RBC Wealth to maximize cross-sell opportunities
  • Translate client requirements to Operations and other functions in the organization
  • What do you need to succeed?

  • Track record in Coverage / Relationship Management role for Nordic Asset Managers (Ideally High / Medium Complex relationships / targets)
  • Emerging ability of strategic planning and working with portfolio goals and proven ability to sell / navigate to complex, multi-level organizations
  • Ability to engage senior business heads to support effective country strategies and product development, show negotiation / commercial skills as well as refined interpersonal skills and proven team leader responsibilities (where applicable)
  • Orientation towards disciplined strategic business development processes
  • Excellent command of English and at least one Scandinavian language
