Amazon connects more than 2 million Sellers with small and big businesses to millions of Customers. Within Marketplace Service, the EU MFN fulfillment team is driving solutions to improve the experience for Customers and Sellers in EU.
To help drive the growth of MFN and Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) Business across EU, we are seeking a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer.
In this role, you will provide strong, complex analytics and conduct comprehensive deep dives that enable performance tracking and drive decision-making.
You will design and implement stable and scalable data warehouse infrastructure and build dynamic visualization platform for end-user consumption.
To be successful, you will bring excellent statistical and analytical abilities, strong attention to detail, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions (like Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, Redshift) as well as outstanding business acumen.
You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with business owners and other analytics teams. You are passionate about gaining relevant insights from data, are a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, you are ready to roll up your sleeves and work directly with the data, and you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Your key responsibilities include
Working with business customers, gathering requirements and developing complex analytics model and datasets for deep dive.
Providing input and recommendations based on analytical findings that are relevant for the business objectives
Designing and building data visualization tools to provide scalable solution for self-service metrics reporting.
Designing, developing, and maintaining reports, dashboards and ad hoc analysis to drive business decisions.

Proposing and implementing new business metrics for senior management reviews, working with data engineers to design and develop data infrastructure to support these metrics for business growth.
Building statistical models and ML based algorithms to perform insight analysis and help in decision-making.
Organizing data structures to drive scalable workflows efficiently.
Writing high quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data, and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources to know how, when, and which to use.
BA / BS degree or higher in computer science engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, economics, or a similar quantitative field.
5+ years’ work experience in data engineering, data analysis, applied statistics, data science or economics.
Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
Experienced in working with business owners directly to understand requirements and develop solutions
Experience with data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Quick sight, etc.) and with AWS services (S3, Redshift, EMR and RDS).
Strong verbal / written communication & data presentation skills, including the ability to communicate with business teams, technical teams, and stakeholders across all levels effectively
5+ years of experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large data sets.
Demonstrated strength in data modeling, ETL development, and Data warehousing.
Strong knowledge of quantitative analytics and advanced analytical tools. Proficiency with SQL, Oracle, Redshift, OLAP, MS Reporting Services
Experience in scripting language (e.g., R, Python), and proven knowledge to utilize various statistical models for insight analysis, trend prediction, etc.
