The Opportunity The Reinforcement Technology team seeks a highly motivated and hands-on associate to support the approval of alternate sources for established raw materials utilizing standard processes (addressing current and future needs) as well as new material development to support technology programs (addressing current and future needs following Company Bold Goals).
Provide support to internal departments including purchasing, tire engineering, and research.
Design laboratory studies to evaluate reinforcement technologies and interpret the results based on the underlying properties of the materials being studied.
Develop and apply advanced characterization methods for steel reinforcements.
Provide on-site assistance during plant trials as required.
Effective communication and collaboration with design teams, suppliers, procurement and manufacturing to ensure successful development and technology transfer.
To join our team, you will need :
Education : Master, or PhD degree in Steel engineering, chemical engineering, material science, metallurgy or metallography.
Languages : English is a must. Any other European language will be considered as an asset.
Experience with reinforcing steel composite reinforcement is preferred.
Experience in understanding structure / property relationships and advanced characterization methods for steel reinforcements is preferred.
Experience in tire material development is preferred.
Experience in material and / or tire manufacturing processes is preferred.

Proficiency in the statistical design and analysis of experimental data is required.
