The Maintenance Manager drives the Customer Service operations in terms of quality, cost, and delay in his / her concerned region, complying with the project strategy & targets.

Tasks :

Manage and drive the operation activities (warranty, technical customer support, overhaul, retrofit, crash repair) :

  • Plan workload
  • Build the necessary operation teams to execute the projects with the right quality, respecting project planning and budget
  • Monitor good operation execution via weekly & monthly meetings & reports
  • Manage any local customer complaints.
  • Raise any risk leading to lack of performance or overcast not planned in the contracts.
  • Ensure availability of trains and maintenance infrastructures, in negotiation with the local customer
  • Develop best in class’ people management (10 to 20 employees)

  • Manage and develop the staff according to Bombardier Transportation standards
  • Recruit the necessary skills to match the projects and future business needs
  • Establish resources synergies within Customer Service
  • Develop and maintain the operation skills and certification within the team.
  • Manage quality and safety :

  • In collaboration with Health Safety and Environment (HSE), guarantee that all operations are executed in a safe environment with adequate procedures, tools and equipment, by operators having received the necessary trainings and certifications.
  • Ensure the right level of quality in accordance with customer and project requirements
  • Support Project Management on cost performances, bids and budget follow up with Finance.


  • Significant Experience in Maintenance / Operations with preferred background in Rail or Aerospace Industry.
  • Budgeting experience with strong stakeholder management skills required
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Capability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • BAC+5 Electrotechnical Engineer
  • Fluent French and Good English, Dutch good to have
