In close collaboration with lab staff members, the LCSB support team, and in compliance with the law, contribute to Q&EHS management system :
Contribute to the development and deployment of EHS strategy, policy, forms, standards, dashboards and tools
Write (as author) EHS SOPs of the LCSB; approve (as EHS Officer) SOPs written by LCSB employees
Support lab safety organisation and contribute to EHS risk assessment. Propose and contribute to development of corrective and preventive actions to ensure safety improvement
Develop Q&EHS trainings and to support the training organisation and the training records development.
Perform periodic inspections to ensure Q&EHS laboratory standards are applied. Participate to investigation of lab accident / incident / near-
misses. Identify and develop appropriate corrective actions.
Closely collaborate with the University’s EHS coordinator and other central services to provide an efficient and safe working environment.
Daily safety and quality practices awareness enforcement
Interested in training to fulfil the Travailleur désigné role at the LCSB for Laboratory specific topics.
Maintain his / her own qualification (e.g. for the Travailleur designé role), through the appropriate trainings, and develop his / her competencies to carry out this mission
Identify risks; analyse problems / deviations / complaints in order to identify root cause and to set up appropriate actions;
identify needs for training, contribute to develop trainings for the lab team
Based on her / his set of competencies provide general support for the laboratory and the support team as well as contribute to continuous improvement at LCSB
Master's degree in science or equivalent educational background, with a good knowledge in chemistry
Fluency in English and a good level in French (speaking and writing); German and / or Luxembourgish are considered as an advantage
At least 3 years working experience in research laboratories or pharmaceutical industry
Good knowledge of laboratory activities and instruments
Safety training is an asset
Excellent writing skills to develop a broad range of quality / safety documents, including official authorisations
Knowledge of lean management tools is an asset
Team player with very good communication skills and a high ability to develop good relations with the researchers and team members, Reliable and proactive
Good organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Eager to learn and to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Good computer skills, including a proficiency in Microsoft Office
