Greenfield is pleased to be working with a Real Estate investment trust based in Luxembourg city center. In order to support their local teams, they are looking to recruit a Senior Accountant Reporting.
This position will support all financial reporting obligations of the company’s European entities. This position will work within the Luxembourg accounting team to ensure that all filings in Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, and other countries are completed timely.
The ability to work within deadlines and be organized are key aspects of this role. The Role :
Monitor all current reporting obligations for European operations and assist managers in ensuring all filings, including Luxembourg annual accounts, are completed timely.
Identify new reporting requirements as they arise.
Plan for external audits under FRS 102 and Luxembourg GAAP. Manage audit processes to ensure that deadlines are met. This includes working with Senior Property Accountants and others within the company to respond to auditor requests, organizing and assisting in the financial statement preparation process, and updating managers as to audit status.
Assist in other quarterly and annual reporting requirements of consolidated joint venture under Luxembourg GAAP. This includes reporting to shareholders as well as compliance obligations under debt agreements.
Coordinate with consultants to ensure reporting obligations in Spain and Portugal are completed timely.
Prepare and file all reporting required under BCL obligations.
Assist AML officer in ensuring all reporting requirements with CSSF are met.
Prepare and maintain reporting calendar to ensure that progress is being made towards all reporting deadlines.
Follow existing accounting policies and control framework as outlined in the Company’s existing corporate SOX documentation.
Your Profile :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance (or equivalent in Europe)
CPA / Chartered Accountant designation preferred
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
Audit and / or reporting experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP, UK GAAP, and additional knowledge of other GAAPs (IFRS) preferred
Ability to work with a team, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
Strong analytical, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to speak multiple languages preferred; strong English skills are required
