Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is a rapidly growing, global operation unit, which significantly impacts the customer experience.

The team is looking for a Senior Program Manager with proven experience in promoting process improvement, training program development, strategic thinking and strong customer focus.

Within ATS, Amazon Freight Partner is a new program that enables entrepreneurs to start and grow their trucking business alongside Amazon, with exclusive and customized learning, ability to hire from their local communities, and long-term growth potential.

The Amazon Freight Partner team is seeking candidates with entrepreneurial spirit who are quick learners and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will define the training and learning strategy to support the Amazon Freight Partners (carriers) to onboard in the program and grow their businesses providing them with a comprehensive overview and in-depth operational knowledge to equip them for success.

As part of the training and learning strategy, you will work on a program that looks to change the way we engage with our carrier.

You will develop and implement learning content, empower and improve the current Learning Management System (LMS), engage with external learning providers and leverage feedback and data to continuously improve training content, format and delivery methods.

This role offers an opportunity to make business-critical decisions that will maximize our Carriers’ business knowledge and readiness.

You will work on defining the learning strategy to transform the current transportation environment while influencing Senior Leadership on the direction for the Middle Mile business.

You will work in a cross functional environment with the Program Development, Global Tech, Marketing, Operations, Carrier management, Network planning teams, and lead projects that will step change the way we engage with Partners.

The Sr. Program Manager will :

  • Own the learning and training strategy for new existing and new carriers, ensuring that they leave the experience with the knowledge, skills, resources / tools, and connections to succeed through Launch, Ramp, and beyond.
  • Have the full ownership of the program from the scoping / creation until the implementation.
  • Own the Learning Management Systems and any development and integrations required to scale the program globally.
  • Define, prioritize and plan the resources and technical requirements needed for program to be delivered on time.
  • Collect market information and develop a strategy accordingly, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and contractual obligations.
  • Develop and drive execution of a vision and goals for Carrier training, education, and learning.
  • Develop training and education content for Carrier population.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify needs, define curriculum, and create content.
  • Partner with upstream training partners to ensure that, collectively, Carrier Training is complementary and complete.
  • Leverage data to drive decision-making; analysing feedback and results to improving training content and format; reporting on training effectiveness and Carrier knowledge and sentiment;
  • drive accountability for results.

  • Work closely with a team of Sr. Program and Product Managers to drive the collection and implementation of requirements, ensure alignment with corporate objectives and contractual obligations.
  • You will be required to have clear, precise, and regular communication with all internal and external stakeholders. This includes ongoing project / program status reports as well as capturing requirements.
  • Monitor project execution and ensure that the project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with its target date, ensuring the overall integrity within the program.
  • Retrieve and analyse data using Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems.
  • Successful candidates will be excellent communicators, curious, highly motivated and effective within distributed teams.
