EU authorities continue to introduce new legislation that makes it challenging for Selling Partners to comply and do business across Europe.
In the last few years, the United Kingdom and Germany introduced legislations that held marketplaces jointly and severally liable for any unpaid VAT by Selling Partners.
This change in EU VAT landscape required Amazon to take the forefront on Selling Partners compliance starting with educating them on VAT compliance requirements in Europe to enabling them pick the right VAT solution and, ultimately, taking action in the case of non-compliance.
The person in this role will lead programs that enable Amazon Selling Partners that sell to EU customers become VAT compliance.
Your key responsibilities in this role include :
Manage the end-to-end operational and compliance process
Engage and drive external agencies to scale your processes
Implement automation to improve efficiency and reduce defects
Identify opportunities to invent and simplify while influencing product and program managers to incorporate your ideas
Define and establish success metrics to support internal stakeholder and your program goals
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar field
2+ years of program management experience
Proved ability / success in program management
Committed Selling Partner advocate, drive process & tool improvements
Proven ability to maintain composure in critical situations and communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders
Fosters a positive team environment and collaboration
Easily approachable, cooperative, and a team player, easily gains the trust and support of leaders and peers
