Amazon Payments in Luxembourg is seeking an intelligent, dynamic, innovative and driven Regulatory Compliance Oversight Manager to join our Compliance team at our European headquarters in the vibrant city of Luxembourg.

This role is critical to ensure the rapid expansion of Amazon’s payments business across Europe, develop Amazon Payments’ compliance strategies and relevant policies, and ensure their rigorous implementations across all functions within the company while guaranteeing sustained regulatory compliance.

Amazon Payments Europe ( APE ) is a fast growing Amazon company headquartered and regulated in Luxembourg. The company offers payments programs and services leveraging Amazon’s extensive presence in Europe, large customer base and sophisticated technologies.

Amazon Pay, for example, enables e-commerce websites to leverage Amazon’s trusted brand to make it easier for customers to quickly and efficiently pay for their orders.

This role will work closely across various teams, including Legal, Risk, InfoSec, Engineering, Compliance Operations and Public Policy, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

In particular, this role will ensure end to end compliance with AML requirements (including KYC, screening and reporting).

Oversight of our Program will also extend to other relevant areas. This role will oversight policies, procedures and all Program documentation, and ensure we continue to meet changing regulatory requirements and Amazon’s risk appetite.

This role is within APE Compliance reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer. The scope of the role is as follows :

  • Establish oversight of all areas of the Compliance Program, monitor product & process changes, and the expected impact, and drive the implementation for compensating controls
  • Responsible for drafting of policies and procedures and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to agree content, minimum standards and controls;
  • Support the Chief Compliance Officer with regulatory relations on the local and European level;
  • Oversee the performance by various groups performing critical functions for Amazon Payments Europe
  • Work with our internal risk teams to assess and monitor compliance performance;
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of reports to Management, the Supervisory Board, and regulators on a timely basis including the Compliance Summary report and AML questionnaire;
  • Dive Deep to ensure adherence to APE policies,
  • assist in the preparation and delivery of APE's AML risk assessment;
  • Maintain the regulatory watch process and ensure all relevant changes are identified, communicated and implemented;
  • Review and challenge business proposals to ensure that there has been adequate consideration of regulatory requirements and evidence of appropriate actions to ensure timely and compliant solutions.
  • Proactively contribute to development of Compliance awareness and Compliance culture within Amazon;
  • Review and approve all training material for APE employees.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in payments and / or e-commerce technologies in regulatory compliance, fraud risk management, operational risk management, information security or other related fields
  • Strong regulatory background and capability to apply that knowledge quickly with potentially limited information
  • Strong understanding of Operations
  • Passion for collaborating with high energy and focus, driving results across multiple projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate concepts into clear steps and communicate to technical and non-
  • technical stakeholders at all levels

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in compliance related area, such as ACAMS, CIPP, CRP, CRCM or other, is preferred
  • Fluency in French would be an advantage, but is not required for the role
