Investment Financial Controller MUR119 Greenfield is pleased to be working closely with an investment manager providing a broad range of investments to a varied asset mix located across Europe.
They are seeking to recruit a diligent individual to be responsible for the financial control of investments for the company.
The person would act as the lead finance person for a portfolio of investments to maximise returns for investors, whilst minimising operational risk.
The Role : Insure that all financial control processes are robust and correctly executed.
Ensure that those responsible for the overall management of the investment are supplied with the financial tools, advice and data to effectively run their investments on a day to day basis and in the longer term.
Ensure financial compliance (including tax and regulatory reporting) is to the highest standard and that financial data is absolutely accurate and fit for purpose using accurate statutory annual and quarterly accounts produced and delivered in the relevant GAAP (Lux, German, US) on a timely basis.
Accurate tax returns (including VAT) produced for US and local purposes on a timely basis Ensure that all legal entities have books and records accurately maintained Ensure that there is a system of controls in place, documented and used to minimise financial risks and that controls exist over data input to the data-
warehouse Ensure that senior funders receive accurate and timely data in accordance with funding documentation Monthly and quarterly management accounts produced on a timely basis for the managers of the fund and for fund statutory reporting Ensure that the data supplied for Asset Management purposes is accurate, timely and relevant for the users & that Investment Management purposes is accurate, timely and relevant for the users Cash Management and Senior Fund Reporting : Payments authorised, made accurately and on time Transaction Management : Assistance given to the Deal Teams to assist in all stages of the investment cycle from due diligence, execution, funding, collections and disposal Your Profile : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional education At least 5-
6 years’ relevant post qualification experience, including within financial services Strong preference for experience with Non-
Performing Loans and / or emerging markets Ideally 2-4 years in a CPA / big 4 firm Experience working for a service provider Experience with consolidation and IPDs an advantage Knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS / Lux GAAP / other European GAAP an advantage Fluent in spoken and written English language.
